The short version: Houbar does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and the app makes no network requests of any kind. Everything described below stays on your device.
Houbar keeps a few things so your season can continue from where you left off. All of it is stored only on your device, using Apple's standard on-device storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). None of it ever leaves your device — there is no server to send it to.
Deleting the app removes all of this data immediately. You can also erase it at any time from inside the app using Settings → Start over.
Houbar asks for Camera and Photo Library access for one reason only: so you can take or pick an optional cover photo for your in-game season journal page. The photo is saved on your device alongside your other game data. It is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere — the app has no way to send it anywhere, since it makes no network requests at all.
Houbar can send two kinds of local, on-device reminders: a Saturday dawn reminder and a "dryer done" notification. These are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's notification system. They are only ever scheduled after you turn on the relevant toggle in the app and after you grant the system notification permission. You can turn them off at any time.
Houbar does not connect to the internet. There is no login, no cloud save, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party service embedded in the app. The game's content — species, story, and art — ships inside the app itself.
Because Houbar collects no data of any kind and makes no network requests, there is no personal information gathered from players of any age, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Given that the app's design is fully offline and collects nothing, we do not expect this to change.
